If you find yourself strolling around town, do yourself a favour and pop into Bread Milk & Honey on Spin Street. I say strolling because it is better to stroll here, since it’s unlikely you’ll get parking in close proximity to this spot. This may seem like a bad thing in most circumstances, but it’s a positive: you can really indulge in the hearty fare knowing you’ll just walk it off later.
They are open during the week and offer breakfast and a mean buffet lunch. Standard items are soup of the day, like White Winter veg, two hot dishes like Shepherd’s Pie and Thai Chicken Curry, quiche and a variety of salads. Best thing is that their menu is updated daily on Twitter (@breadmilkhoney). They also do take-away from the buffet menu so if you are pressed for time and have someone who can double park outside while you run in, you can make your choice before you get there and grab your lunch, chop-chop. While this is convenient, I really would recommend taking a seat. The interior is down-to-earth with the odd splash of colour. Very London or New York. The menu is up in chalk on the wall. A mixed crowd inside at most times. A counter overlooking the street makes for good coffee and newspaper time. And sidewalk seating out the front allows you to soak in the city vibe. But this is a high foot-traffic area, so you may feel like you’re sitting in a passageway.
The coffee is another reason to visit here. Think of it as the reward of your journey. They are serving the Origin house blend for their espresso and the Origin El Salvador for their filter. As the writing on the wall proclaims they pride themselves in their involvement in Relationship coffee where the path of the bean can be traced from tree to cup. We like that. A lot.

Very good write-up and very true in all senses. They really do make the best coffee and the tea-time treats are also well worth it! Try the milk tart….it will leave you wanting more.

Definitely, absolutely THE place to be during lunch hour: lovely, relaxed and homely vibe, friendly staff, BEST cupcakes, yummiest quiches, gorjiss food and awesome decor that compares internationally , and overall; just a de-stresser of NOTE!
My review of this place is only good: Every visit worth the effort. Best quality no matter what the price as it is the best of food and service.
