Lauren’s Deli & Eatery, George

A public holiday, let alone National Braai Day, has the capacity to turn most small towns into a ghost town. So trying to find an early afternoon coffee in George last week was a task that proved to be rather tricky. Luck was on our side however and after driving around for the better part of an hour, we came across Lauren’s Deli & Eatery.

In an attempt to tame a craving for something sweet, I opted for the Lindt Chocolate Cappuccino. I wouldn’t usually go for something like this but thought I would try something different. It arrived and I was surprised to find it less sweet than what I was expecting. It was only half way through that I noticed the mound of chocolate at the bottom of my cup. A rookie error for not stirring my coffee! It was most pleasant however and would definitely recommend giving it a bash. The coffee is supplied by Lavazza.

This place is great, they have a virgin gym next door, perfect cuppa coffee after a workout, and I must say the health breakfast with amazing yoghurt you have ever had, quite a surprise for George. YUMMY!!!
