If you’re looking for a lazy afternoon cuppa, Cupcake on Dorp Street is the place to go.
This little spot is cute in every way and boasts an interior clad in colours of dusty pink and green, polka dots and red and white candy stripes. On the right hand side of the room, hanging rag dolls overlook retro tables and white wooden chairs and on the left, a service counter displays the daily lunch buffet and scrumptious cupcake selection.
A tea garden can be found out the back in a courtyard that is shared with other restaurants and gift shops in the square. Seating is beneath the canopy of an old oak tree. If that isn’t enough to send you into laid-back mode, the gently trickling water feature will definitely do the trick.
The barista sends out a good flat white using beans from Conti Coffee. Finding parking on Dorp may test your patience a bit so it’s not a bad idea to park and walk. The oak-lined street makes for a pleasant stroll. Just throwing it out there.
