Skinny Legs & All

You need to visit Skinny Legs & All on Loop. Seriously.

Occupying what was once the João Ferreira Gallery, this restaurant is like a Granny Smith apple: fresh, crisp and wholesome but without the sour aftertaste. The interior is spacious with wooden chairs, white-top tables and an open-plan kitchen. Beautiful pieces of art from João Ferreira’s private collection line the walls adding colour to an otherwise stark, white space. The food is hale and hearty and prepared by twin-owners, Jessie and Jamie. Breakfast is served all-day with items like Fruit Salad, Soft Scrambled Eggs and Stacked French Toast. Lunch options include sandwiches, salads and the ‘Gruel of the day’ soup. There are also a couple of mains on the menu to choose from like Charred lemon and rosemary chicken and Moroccan-style meatballs. On the coffee front they are serving Deluxe’s Fast Eddie’s Espresso Blend (aka the house blend) and as expected it kicks butt.

The store front is also very awesome. So awesome you might walk past it. But I love the simple typography on its glass front.

    :)
