The Kitchen

I keep a permanent stash of Rosetta beans in my kitchen for two reasons. Firstly, their coffee is damn good and secondly, there isn’t anywhere in town serving their beans. Or so I thought until I visited The Kitchen.

The Kitchen is a homely little eatery located on the town end of bustling Sir Lowry Road. It has a relaxed, warm atmosphere and offers hearty, wholesome meals and sweet treats so delicious you’ll want to lick the plate. The walls are adorned with paintings, pictures and clippings and shelves heavily stacked with a collection of cookbooks capable of turning any foodie a deep shade of emerald. When standing at the counter you cant help but feel like you’re in the middle of an old farm kitchen with the pantry-like display in front and the busy stove to the side. The staff are friendly and they’ve hit the nail on the head with the selection of music. The legendary ‘Love Sandwich’ is a must.

The Kitchen is serving Rosetta’s wild Limu and it really is a beautiful coffee with a smooth velvety mouthfeel, juicy stone fruit flavours and a soft citrus zest finish. If you’re a flat white fan, think peaches and cream.
