Lovejoy, or LJ as he is more affectionately known, is Origin’s coffee equivalent of The Stig.
Residing from Zim, LJ joined the Origin team in 2009 after completing his training at Origin’s Barista School. He has a diploma in Hotel and Catering Management and has a fervent passion for farming. On getting involved in coffee, LJ says,
When I joined Origin I didn’t realise that I would come to love coffee so much and that it would become such a big part of my life. I still have a lot to learn and a lot to give.
LJ’s dream is to have his own coffee establishment one day back in Zim. He says there is untapped potential for a coffee revolution there and he wants to be a part of it.
On asking LJ what he enjoys most about coffee he says,
Consider the size of a coffee bean. It is amazing how something so small can have such a large effect. It brings people of different walks of life together. It allows for cultural exchange and for sharing ideas. That is what I enjoy most about coffee.
